Our Residential Community
Welcome to Christus Collegium!
Located just across the street from Montana State University’s campus, the residential community of the Christus Collegium is a multi-cultural, interfaith community seeking to foster global understanding and friendship.
Our Community
This unique ‘home away from home’ offers affordable student housing with an aim to provide our diverse, multi-cultural residents a safe and welcoming place to live and study. We support genuine connection through friendship, fellowship, and service in an inclusive environment.
The facility serves as a year round residence hall for up to 19 MSU students. Residents include students connected to the Center for Campus Ministry’s supporting ministries and a diverse group of international students.
A high level of maturity is required of residents due to the opportunities and challenges of sharing a “big house” with 18 other residents.

The following priorities are considered when accepting applicants for housing:
- An applicant who is a student of MSU or Gallatin College and a member of one of the supporting churches: United Methodist, Lutheran (ELCA) and Episcopal (USA). Applicants associated with other Christian denominations are also given special consideration.
- MSU and Gallatin College students of other faiths and cultures. We make every attempt to maintain a balance of nationalities and cultures in the residential community, so our “waiting list” is not always “first come, first served.”
Priority is also given to those with strong personal references (see Application Procedure).

- At such time as a room becomes available, the Christus Collegium staff will look at the list of applicants and contact those who best fit the current needs of the community. Staff will then schedule a time with each of these candidates for personal interviews.
- Upon acceptance to the Christus Collegium, the new resident will sign a standard rental agreement and make move-in arrangements.
