Christus Collegium

The building called the “Christus Collegium”  is owned in ecumenical partnership by the Lutheran (ELCA), United Methodist, Presbyterian (USA) and Episcopal (ECUSA) churches, and operated by a non-profit corporation called the Campus Christian Center.   The Christus Collegium is our “Center for Campus Ministry,” providing opportunities for Christian engagement and hospitality on the campus of Montana State University.

WORSHIP SPACE

Ministry partners at the Christus Collegium host Sunday evening worship and other special services in Wesley Hall during the academic year.  Thursday evening fellowship, including a shared meal, is held weekly in the Luther Fireside Room, and is open to all.

RESIDENCE HALL

The Christus Collegium also serves as a quiet and convenient residential community for up to 16 MSU students.  Although students with ties to the supporting denominations receive priority for available rooms, the Campus Christian Center has a long history of extending our Christian hospitality to students from around the world.  This Christian ideal of “welcoming the guest” has created a multi-cultural, inter-faith community, allowing students of varying backgrounds to live in community and to gain understanding of one another.  

COMMUNITY SPACE

We have been blessed with a wonderful building, and are happy to share our space, when possible, with others from the MSU and Bozeman communities.  

In order to cover our operational costs, we charge reasonable rental rates for Wesley Hall, the kitchen and the Fireside Room.  The Montana Room does not have a set rate, but donations are greatly appreciated.  Contact the Collegium office at 586-3172 for more information.

Wesley Hall (sanctuary) is a unique room with beautiful acoustics and a lovely Yamaha grand piano, creating a wonderful venue for recitals and other intimate concerts.   With a full kitchen available at the east end of the room, Wesley Hall can also be used for banquets.   The room has flexibility in terms of set-up, and can accommodate up to 190 in chair seating, or approximate 100 at table seating.

Luther Fireside Room is a smaller meeting room directly off the lobby.  The Fireside Room provides comfortable seating, as well as table seating, for up to 20 people.  There is access to a back deck, as well.

The Montana Room is a larger meeting space located in the basement.  We consider this our community room and it is often used by girl scout troups, twelve-step groups and others.  With uphostered chairs and sofas, it can accomodate about 30 people comfortably.
